PARENTS: Miss those times when your kids came home from school excited and happy?
What do you do when your kids don't want to go to school?
How do you rekindle their desire for learning, for excellence?

STUDENTS: How do you solve your big problems in school? How do you get on track for graduation, for success in life?

TEACHERS: Put more happy days into your week! What can be done so that each day feels worth while.
Drive home more often feeling: "Now that was a great day!"

Making ours a better world. "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."
ALL ABOARD!

THE BUSINESS SIDE: Getting projects up and running in schools can be daunting.
Who do you talk to? How do you deal with institutional inertia?
If you want to get young people excited about using the Metro for example, then you must know what makes them tick.

New brain science is transforming our view of learning.

Common in the classroom is the belief that kids pretty much learn the same way. But new brain science is rapidly transforming our view of learning and child rearing. Each child comes to school with a unique neural architecture, a brain design that responds best to specific conditions for optimal learning.

While bridge architecture is obvious, neural architecture is not so visible. To see more, scroll up and click on: The Brain And Learning Blog.

  1. Hi Toby! It was great meeting you guys at Shoreline Village. I love the new bike, BIG FISH! It is definitely a bike that defines convenience, especially when you are traveling in congested buses or when you don't feel like wasting time looking for parking in overly crowded beach cities! It's a dream and easy to fold up and take with you wherever you go! I hope to hear from you soon!

  2. Julie, I'm still smiling, thinking of you and Travis riding 'round the rotunda. That was great fun. Not bad for "Take One" Let's get back together for "Take Two" in the next week or three. I'll be posting the video clip shortly so come back soon for a preview. Shooting it again at sunset will give us better light. Looking forward.

  3. We'll be looking forward for it too! Hopefully this rain will die down. Travis and I are both off today. If it weren't raining so profusely, we could definitely do it today! Let's see how the rain subsides....

  4. Julie, you wanted to know more about "ON-THE-RAILS" reporters. To help people discover Metro's sexy side, you and Travis would jump on the Metro for a Southland outing, a cycling adventure, or a romantic evening (say cocktails at stop A, hors d'oeuvres at stop B, and dinner at stop C. Then you'd come back to our blog and submit your report to our readers.
They'd use our reports as a great guide to the hidden hip spots within easy reach of the Metro. You and Travis would be great and not have to spend too much time to make it happen. In fact, it's possible to file your report on the fly from a smart phone! How's that for high tech?

There are tons of possibilities. Looking forward.
